Stephen Saunders Residence aka Nolen’s Shelter

Orange County’s first shelter for homeless people living with HIV/AIDS, the Stephen Saunders Residence is a state-of-the-art end of life sanctuary. The center in Newburgh, New York was carved out of the three-story shell of Providence House, which had burned in a 1985 fire. We transformed the space into individual kitchens, bedrooms, and living rooms with 24-hour security and garden.

Address: 135 Washington St, Newburgh, NY 12550
